Media Revolution Summary
During the BBC 2 documentary we learned about the loss to the dailies over the past 10 years, The Mirror has lost 750,000, The Sun has lost 400,000 readers and the Sunday papers have lost in all 500,000 readers over the past 10 years. Over all the total amount of dailies that have dropped over the last 10 years are 2,500,000. The drops may also be due to effect that advertising is taking on newspapers as advertising revenue has dropped by 20%. A key fact to take into consideration is that 3/4 of all revenue for local papers comes from advertising.
